Capelli Da Polygoni

Ciao ragazzi,

ma per fare i capelli in maya, l'unico metodo e' usare il fur?

avevo visto da qualche parte, ma non ricordo dove e in 3d studio max, il file di un volto con in testa dei piani (penso) poly piegati come per dare la piega.... poi nel render, come per magia, wallaaa' dei capelli paura.... possibile?
